“Art should never lie down in the bed that is made for it.”
…. Jean Dubuffet

Jim Christy is a self-taught artist who sculpts, paints, assembles, collages and mosaics. He uses whatever material is at hand and employs whatever technique that material suggests.

He works with stone, driftwood, tile, glass, plastic, metal, odds and ends, bits and pieces, and this and that. He acrylics and oil paints. He paints it, glues it, hammers it, snips it, cements it, hangs it on the wall or sets it up on its own two, or three, feet. He enjoys what he does.

His work has been displayed in solo and group shows, and is in private and public collections, in North America, Latin America and Japan.
